DAY TWENTY NINE

Day 29 Desert / very arid grasslands. Sunrise at Wolfe Creek Crater. A failed attempt to cycle the rugged walking rocky rim trail. Then another rough dusty rutted road to the border. Only 2 other cars on the Tanami Track. Both Aboriginal communities closed to public. No services. Jerry cans are gold. Clear night skys, not a SOUL in sight. Hum of the Earth, Crackle of the sky tour continues. Blasted my Greek music and danced naked under the stars! Strangely at 2am I woke to the sound of light footsteps in the camp site. My mind’s eye imagined an aboriginal man, kind gentle and curious. When we looked outside the tent, there was no one. Just the gentle breeze rustling the spinifex. I think the ancient ones are wondering...
